Stewardship is serving one another and using the gifts God has given us to the best of our ability. Members develop and promote a stewardship program in pursuit of a culture of abundance, through education, visitation and fellowship.  The Committee shares in the responsibility to help St. Matthew's to grow in faith, offer joyous worship and reach out in loving service.

The mandate of St. Matthew’s Stewardship Committee calls us to be good and faithful stewards of all the gifts that God has given us.  Our stewardship program is a year- round activity.  Each spring we organize a parish visitation; visitors are asked to meet with three or four parishioners to discover their views on the work of the parish, using the Narrative Budget as the basis for discussion.

A Faith dinner has become part of the program; it will be held in mid-October when parishioners can enjoy fellowship, hear a short presentation and join others at a potluck meal provided by St. Matthew’s excellent cooks. There will also be information about the annual financial campaign which will follow in late October.

The Committee takes advantage of the communications initiatives in the parish including the bulletin, the Pulse of the Parish, and where appropriate, the local community newspapers. We appreciate the support of the Communications Committee in this part of our work.

Stewardship Officers are Kathi Racine and John McBride.
